The Uttarakhand high court has lashed out at the state government over the burgeoning COVID situation. It said the state has become a laughing stock due to its organising the Kumbh Mela in the middle of a raging pandemic.
A bench of Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Kumar made the observation while it was hearing a bunch of PILs about the state’s handling of the COVID-19 situation.
