Sumit Malik struggles to express his emotions after qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. It has taken him five years to get his first shot at the Olympics.
“Achcha lag raha hai (I am happy),” says Malik on the phone from Sofia, after he qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the 125kg freestyle category. Malik earned his berth after beating Daniel Robertti Diaz of Venezuela 5-0 in the semifinals at the World Olympic Qualifier in Sofia last night.
